The Fraser Valley Avalanche erased an early deficit with three straight goals to close the first half as they tamed the Saskatoon Wild 7-2 on Sunday in National Ringette League action at Sportsplex.
Amanda Pukalo, Jennifer Wakefield and Danielle Krusel scored twice apiece while Brandy Lietz had the other Avalanche goal.
Wakefield also added three assists to finish with five points.
Shannon Anderson was solid in goal, finishing with 34 saves as Saskatoon outshot Fraser Valley 36-25.
The win came on the heels of a 6-5 shootout loss the night before at the George Preston Recreation Centre.
In that game, the Wild and the Avalanche combined for nine first-half goals before both teams settled down in the second half.
Saskatoon scored a power-play goal late in the second half to force overtime and then won the shootout 3-2.
Wakefield had a hat trick, while Jamie Matusiak and Julia Scigliano had the other Avalanche goals.
