Big girl jobs

The Prairie Fire remains a pretty young team. Most of the team members are 22 or under. However, a few members of the team have moved on to establish themselves in life after school.

Defenceman Meredith Warner is two years out of post-secondary training. Meredith works as an x-ray technologist at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. It is a challenge to balance a work schedule wityh a ringette schedule but Meredith does it successfully. Forward Andrea Ferguson graduated in Recreation from the University of Manitoba. Ando looked for a career in recreation but in a situation that fit with NRL ringette. She is fortunate to have landed a position working with Soccer Manitoba. Ando is able to draw on her sports background to assist with soccer. Ashley Lutz returned to Winnipeg for a position with Canadian Border Services although Winnipeg is 100 kilometres from the border. Ashley is into her second year with CBS.

The rest of the Prairie Fire remains as students at the university level. Soon many of them will be moving on to big girl jobs too.
