LMRL Thunder

The LMRL (Lower Mainland Ringette League) Thunder will begin their inaugural season in the National Ringette (NRL) League October 2011. LMRL is a ringette region that covers the lower mainland region of the province of British Columbia and consists of nine smaller local ringette associations. The LMRL Thunder are the third NRL franchise in history to call BC home, following after the now defunct BC Reign and Fraser Valley Avalanche. The Thunder will play four of their home weekends in their lower mainland home, and their fifth home weekend in Kelowna. The LMRL Thunder are made up of a great mix of veteran NRL players, young future stars and a strong rookie group that has recently graduated from the LMRL AA program. The Thunder are committed to creating a stable franchise, while also promoting the sport of ringette in BC and providing an exciting brand of ringette on the ice.
