Ringette, a sport to discover!

A major event to promote ringette will happen on Saturday, December 17th in the largest indoor amusement park in Quebec - the Méga Parc des Galeries de la Capitale.

Thanks to the contribution of Ringette Canada, private partners and the commitment of Ringette Quebec and some local associations, local youth will discover the sport by participating in one of two sessions of Come Try Ringette. They will be held between 12:15 and 16:15 and there will also be an information kiosk that allows local associations to promote their activities. There will be a booth with demonstration equipment, animation, a mascot and children can skate with the Cyclones players. There will be participation prizes, including vouchers providing free access to rides at the Méga Parc. Please note that registration on the Come Try Ringette site (www.cometryringette.ca) is required. The activities and equipment are free (sticks, rings) however helmets and pads are not covered and are available if necessary for a low-cost rental.

In addition, many people who are in full holiday shopping mode will have a chance to see the highest level of ringette in Canada because at 13:30 there will be a National Ringette League game between the Cyclones de Quebec and Waterloo Wildfire. The meeting should be exciting, since it is the first clash between these two teams since the Cyclones defeated the Wildfire in the playoffs last winter! Lastly, ringette players who cheer on the Cyclones and wear their own team jersey will also get coupons providing access to rides in the Méga Parc.
