Biography
Melissa is a well travelled ringette player. Now in her 7th season in the NRL, she has played for Richmond Hill Lightning and Whitby Wild before joining the Turbos organization this year. A native of Oshawa, Ontario, Melissa started played ringette when she was 3 years old. A smooth and fast skater with a blistering quick shot, Melissa is a strong offensive defender on the Turbos blue line. She can step up and play forward when needed.
Melissa is also a Level 3B referee and participates in both the A and AA provincials. In her professional life, she is an RN in Orthopaedic Surgery at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Her career plans include obtaining her Master’s in Nursing to become either a manager or professor.
