What book are you currently reading?

Linger by Maggie Stiefvater (the Wolves of Mercy Falls series), The Book of Awesome, and re-reading the entire Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich (a must read!!)

What age did you start playing ringette? How did you start?

17 – A friend on my hockey team at the time played Open A in Nepean and their team needed a goalie. I was too young to play for them but was still interested in finding out what ringette was all about, so I went out for a practice with the Nepean Belle AA team and have loved the sport since that day.

If someone was wondering whether or not they should play ringette, what would you say to them?

Give it a shot! It’s a fast paced sport with amazing athletes. The team environment is unlike any other sport I have played!

What do you think ringette would look like in 20 years?

I think it will have a lot of the same rules, maybe some new ringette specific equipment. I hope the sport grows not only in Canada, but across the world, and is very well known (potentially in the Olympics!).

Who is you favourite sports athlete and why?

Manon Rhéaume was always my idol growing up because she was the first woman to play a game in the NHL (exhibition game with the Tampa Bay Lightning).
