In recent years, the AA Sixer organization has been overshadowed by the Magic. Many strong players have graduated from Magic teams. Several who have continued have continued to play as members of the Manitoba Jets. A number though have become members of the Prairie Fire. It is a smaller contingent than Sixers but significant nonetheless.
The Magic grads have lots of CRC experience. As members of the Magic, Lindsay Burns and Ashley Lutz were on Manitoba’s CRC Belle reps in 2004. These same two players parlayed their performance on Magic teams to join up on Team Manitoba in other years.
Defence Julie Devries played many years for Magic before moving up to join the Fire in 2007. Leah Montsion was a Magic mainstay for several years before she switched over to Sixers to finish her AA career. Both Julie and Leah were picked up for Team Manitoa Belles.
Magic grads have been significant members of the Prairie Fire team.
Besides playing for Magic teams, Lindsay Burns has also given time to the Magic organization as a coach. Ashley Lutz has continued to coach but for Boni-Vital Angels.
Their Prairie Fire team mates count on these girls to provide some magic for the team.
