Devils season underway

The Gloucester Devils started their 2016-17 season last weekend and came away with losses to Rive Sud and Ottawa. They will meet up with Montreal Mission this Saturday (October 22) at 2pm EST at Ray Friel Centre.

This season the Devils will have some new and some familiar faces on the roster.

The Devils are pleased to announce the arrival of Coach Sean Burrows. Sean has been involved in Ringette for many years. Both of his two daughters and his spouse play ringette. His house is full of ringette history and stories. In addition to coaching with the NRL Devils, he will continue his duties with the Eastern Region Ringette Association. Sean has supported the Ontario Ringette Association with respect to sport development and his deeply familiar with the Long Term Athlete Development Model and how it applies to ringette. He is also a former President of the Metcalfe Ringette Association. Sean is well connected in the ringette community, loves the sport, and has a keen eye with respect to tactics and video analysis.

On the ice, Ashley McKenney joins the Devils as a goaltender and Jenna van Koppen has re-joined the team after a short leave. Stephanie Rheaume also returns to the NRL Devils after not playing last season. She is well rested and ready to compete – look out NRL opponents!
