Ottawa, Ontario – November 5, 2014 – The 2014-2015 season of the National Ringette League (NRL) is in full swing and today the league announces its Elite Eight, with the Cambridge Turbos topping the rankings.
Cambridge (1) opened the season strong with six wins and dropping one in a 5-4 shootout to Le Royal de Bourassa (8). Bourassa make their way into eighth spot this month after posting four wins and five losses since the season opened. Ottawa Ice (2) fall from their first place ranking in the pre-season to second, after winning six and dropping one to the Gloucester Devils (7). Gloucester currently sits with four wins and three losses. Waterloo Wildfire (3) are the biggest movers in the rankings this month, winning five of their six games and moving from seventh place last month, up to third.
Calgary RATH (4), Montreal Mission (5) and Richmond Hill Lightning (6) all maintain their pre-season ranking spot, with Calgary posting a three win, one loss record; Montreal winning four and dropping two; and Richmond Hill splitting their first four games of the season. Edmonton WAM!, ranked second in the pre-season rankings, are unranked this month.

Ottawa Ice currently hold the NRL Championship title after downing the Cambridge Turbos 7-4 at the 2014 NRL Championship tournament final held in April 2014 in Regina, Saskatchewan. This year’s NRL Championship tournament will be held in Wood Buffalo, AB from March 29 to April 4, 2015.
