In a highly offensive game on Saturday versus Le Royal De Bourassa, Jenny Snowdon led the desperation for the Attack with five goals and two assists. The 16-year-old ringette phenom who garnerned national attention in the few games she played with the Attack last season has an impressive 11 goals and 6 assists in 7 games thus far in the 2013-2014 campaign. Goaltender, Karine Doiron, faced 58 shots and turned away extra attempts in the shootout for a 12-11 victory. In her NRL debut, defense Claudia Cullinan picked up four assists. The win gave the Attack their first victory of season.
Later in the evening, the Attack kept up the momentum with a 5-4 regulation win to complete a sweep of Bourassa. Miguelle Proulx, currently third in the NRL rookie scoring race, netted a hat trick and assist for the home squad.
The Atlantic Attack will next host the Ottawa Ice on Saturday December 7th and 8th. Saturday’s game will be held at 7pm at the Père Camille Léger Arena in Cap-Pelé. Game two runs Sunday morning at 10am at the Festival Arena in Shediac.
Game admission is $5 per adult and $2 for a youth under 16. Youth under 16 wearing a jersey will get in for free.
