The Atlantic Attack travelled to Montreal to close out 2013 on the road versus the Lac St. Louis Adrenaline, Montreal Mission, and Rive Sud Revolution. On Saturday afternoon, the Attack and Adrenaline needed extra time to solve a high scoring match-up. The Attack edged the Adrenaline in a shootout skating away with a 10-9 victory. Miguelle Proulx scored four goals and added one assist while Kim Melanson contributed two goals and two assists. Josée Doiron and Miguelle Proulx each scored in the shootout, while netminder Karine Doiron stopped both Adrenaline shooters.
On Saturday evening, the Mission downed the Attack by a score of 10-6. Miguelle Proulx continued her hot streak with 2 goals and 1 assist, which was also matched by another Attack sniper, Jenny Snowdon. Karine Doiron faced 77 shots and protected the cage admirably against a few of the league’s elite goal scorers from the Mission. Rookie defender Jena Kiviaho suffered a fractured jaw in the contest.
Sunday afternoon, the Attack completed the roadtrip with a 10-6 loss to the Rive Sud Revolution in a preview of the Attack’s first home match-up of 2014. Miguelle Proulx struck once again with a 4 goal performance. Proulx currently leads all NRL rookies in scoring with 28 goals and 9 assists in 11 games played.
The Attack welcome the Revolution on January 11th and 12th in Cocagne. Game admission is $5 per adult and $2 for a youth under 16. Youth under 16 wearing a jersey will get in for free.
