The Atlantic Attack met the end of a very successful fourth season in the National Ringette League on the home ice of the Gloucester Devils in Saturday playoff action. In game one, the Devils offense trounced the Attack to go up three goals early on in the match-up. Colleen Hagan, defense, scored a hat trick and the Devils continued on to a 7-2 victory. Sabrina Cormier and Martine Caissie scored for the Attack and netminder Karen Doiron made 30 saves in the loss. In game 2 of the best of three series, the Attack and Devils were tied 3-3 at the half, however, the Devils fired 50 shots in an 8-3 win to secure a place in the NRL championship. Vanessa Hannah scored two markers for the Attack.
Attack forward Jenny Snowdon finished 20th in NRL scoring with 71 points. Michelle Gray, from Nova Scotia, finished in 5th place in scoring amongst all defensive players with 26 points and Miguelle Proulx finished second among all NRL rookies with 47 points.
