The Atlantic Attack hoping to gain points in the Eastern Conference standings dropped two matches at home against the Rive Sud Revolution this past weekend. In Saturday game action at the Cocagne Arena, the Attack were defeated 13-9. The Revolution posted six goals in the 2nd making it difficult for the Attack to mount the comeback. Jenny Snowdon had 1 goal and 4 assists for the home team.
On Sunday morning, the Attack and Revolution drew close on the scoreboard with a 6-4 victory for the visiting team. Shediac’s Nicole Forest had 2 goals and 1 assist. At the end of the first period, the Attack were leading 2-1 but four unanswered goals in the 2nd period for the Revolution sealed the victory.
The Attack will need a strong finish to the season in order to secure a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Attack will journey to Calgary on January 18-19th to play both the Calgary Rath and the Edmonton Wam of the Western Conference.
