Atlantic Attack eliminate Le Royal de Bourassa to advance to the National Ringette League championship tournament

The Atlantic Attack swept Le Royal de Bourassa in two games on Saturday to earn a spot to compete for the NRL championship. The tournament will see 8 teams from the Eastern and Western Conference of the National Ringette League compete for the title.

In game one action, the Attack found themselves in an early deficit in the first period until Miguelle Proulx kickstarted the offensive with a goal. At the half, the teams were deadlocked 3-3. Hat tricks by Martine Caissie, Jenny Snowdon and Miguelle Proulx paved the way to a 9-5 victory. Kirsti Mason of Cole Harbour, NS contributed with five assists.

In game two action, Martine Caissie posted a dominant performance with 5 goals and 1 assist for a 10-6 victory.

The NRL championship will be decided at the Canadian Ringette Championship April 3-9th in London, ON.
