The Cambridge Turbos scoring tandem of Emily Bakker and Jacqueline Gaudet brought their offensive production to the East Coast for a two game series versus the Atlantic Attack of the National Ringette League. The Attack played the Turbos on home ice in Cocagne Saturday evening, but ultimately fell to the Turbos by a score of 9-3. Gaudet and Bakker each combined for 7 points in the Turbos victory.
In Sunday morning action, Memramcook’s Jocelyne Landry scored four goals for the Attack in a 13-6 loss. Gaudet had 11 points and Bakker posted 10 points. The Attack goaltenders, Doiron and Babin faced a combined total of 60 shots.
The Attack will complete their regular season play next weekend against the Richmond Hill Lightning. The teams will play a two game series on the Attack’s home ice in Cocagne. The Saturday evening game will be played at 7pm and the Sunday morning game will begin at 10:45am. This is the first time the two teams have faced off against one another since the Lightning defeated the Attack in last year’s Eastern Conference Playoffs. The Lightning currently sit at 5th place in the Eastern Conference while the Attack possess 6th place. Admission to each game is $5 per adult and $2 for a youth under 16. Youth under 16 wearing a ringette jersey will be admitted for free.
