The Attack had a great beginning to their two game home series against former Attack goaltender Jasmine Leblanc and her Gloucester Devils, but it was not enough as the Attack came out of the weekend held pointless in the standings. On Saturday in Riverview, Vanessa Hannah scored only 40 seconds in to the game but ultimately the team fell short as the Devils responded with six unanswered goals. Special teams was a factor for the Devils who scored three power play goals and fired 47 shots on goaltender Karine Doiron to spoil the Attack’s homecoming. In the second game in Dieppe on Sunday, the Attack were up 3-1 on the scoreboard with the help of two goals by forward Annie Gautreau but once again the Devils responded late in the game and defeated the Attack 4-3. The Attack will next face the Mission in Montreal for a three game series on November 3-4.
