The Atlantic Attack opened the 2013-2014 season on the road vs. the Gatineau Fusion. The Attack who have a new look roster of 11 rookies showed much promise in their NRL season debut. Seventeen year old Miguelle Proulx posted 5 goals and 2 assists in the pair of weekend games to begin the season with a first place position in NRL rookie scoring.
In Saturday action, penalty troubles plagued the Attack in a 6-5 loss. The Attack received goal contributions from S. Wingrove, J. Doiron, M. Proulx (2), and D. Leblanc. On Sunday morning, the Attack entered a 3-0 hole and would not recover in an 11-4 loss to the Fusion. M. Proulx had a hat trick and assist as she contributed on every Attack point.
The Atlantic Attack will open their season at home on Saturday October 19th vs. the Waterloo Wildfire. The game will coincide with the 50th anniversary of ringette road show in Riverview. The game will be played at 2pm at the Bryan Dobson arena. The two teams will face off again Sunday morning in Dieppe (Arthur J. Leblanc arena) at 11:45am. Admission is $5 per adult, $2 for a youth under 16 and free for a youth under 16 wearing a ringette jersey.
