Atlantic Attack of the National Ringette League open regular season with a strong start

Atlantic Attack forward Joelle Proulx scored on her first shot of the 2012-2013 season in the team’s first away game against the Quebec City Cyclones on Saturday. The team carried the momentum created by Proulx and posted a 5-2 victory. Later in the day, the two teams once again faced one another in which the Attack found themselves down 6-1 entering the third period. The team attempted a comeback, but ultimately fell short with an 8-7 loss. On Sunday, the Attack posted a 7-4 victory which ended the weekend with a 2-1-0 record and 19 goals scored over a span of only three games. Cap-Pelé’s Josée Doiron scored 5 goals and added 1 assist for the Attack.

The Atlantic Attack will next face their former goaltender Jasmine Leblanc and her Gloucester Devils on home ice Saturday October 27th and Sunday October 28th. The Saturday game will be held at 1:30pm at the Bryan Dobson arena in Riverview, NB. On Sunday, the two teams will square off one more time in Dieppe at 11:45am (Arthur J. Leblanc Arena).
