Atlantic Attack off to a hot start

The Atlantic Attack continued their perfect home ice record this past weekend as they hosted the Gatineau Fusion and posted six points to retain top spot in the Eastern Conference.

In Saturday game action, the Attack defeated the Fusion by a 10-4 margin with 61 shots on goal. Martine Caissie scored four goals and added an assist in the victory. The second match of the day saw the Attack skate to a 9-7 win. Jenny Snowdon scored a hat trick and Natasha Mills contributed with three helpers.

On Sunday, the scoring gap narrowed further but it was the Attack who posted two points in the standings with a 7-6 shootout victory. The shootout extended to the 5th shooter and it was Martine Caissie who finally secured the win.

The Attack now have an 8-1-0 record to begin the season. Four Attack forwards (Caissie, Jenny Snowdon, J. Proulx and Mason) currently hold spots 1-4 in the NRL scoring race. The Attack will visit the greater Toronto region for a three game stand on November 7-8 weekend to face the Waterloo Wildfire, Richmond Hill Lightning, and Cambridge Turbos before returning to Fredericton to host the Lac St Louis Adrenaline on November 14th.
