Atlantic Attack take Devils to the brink on home ice

The Atlantic Attack welcomed the Gloucester Devils for a two game series on home ice this past weekend. On Saturday evening, the Attack lead 4-1 at the halfway marker, to be halted by Kristen Johnston’s hat trick as the Devils skated to a 6-5 victory. Kelly Snowdon scored the second goal of the game, which was assisted by her pair of sisters, Jessica and Jenny Snowdon.

In Sunday game action, Gloucester took an early 2-0 lead and the Attack fell to a 7-2 deficit in the 3rd period. The Attack attempted a comeback but we’re stopped short of tying the game in a 7-6 defeat. Jenny Snowdon scored 2 goals and posted 3 assists and netminder, Karine Doiron, made 58 saves.

The pair of weekend victories for the Devils decimated the Attack’s playoff hopes for this 2013-2014 season. The Atlantic Attack will finish the season February 15th in Charlottetown with a pair of games against the Montreal Mission.
