The Atlantic Attack of the National Ringette League played a two game home series against the Gatineau Fusion in front of a lively Fredericton crowd this past weekend. In a Saturday afternoon match-up, the Attack found themselves in a 3-0 hole very early in the first period, but climbed their way back to skate away with an 8-4 victory. In the third period, Joelle Proulx took a hard hit against the boards, retrieved the ring, and buried her third goal of the game. Proulx finished with 3 goals and 1 assist. Kali MacAdam also had 2 goals and 1 assist in her NRL debut for the Attack and goaltender Karine Doiron faced 52 shots in the win.
In Sunday morning action, the Attack secured four points in the standings by defeating the Fusion 7-5. Attack forward, Jocelyne Landry, used her lightning speed to get in alone on the Fusion goaltender to score a big goal for the Attack and followed this by posting her second goal of the game is secure the win. Next up, the Attack will play the Waterloo Wildfire in Cocagne, NB on November 24-25th.
