Edmonton WAM! – working towards the NRL Championship

WAM! is the National Ringette League team from Edmonton, Alberta. WAM! has a proud history of success at the NRL Championships. This season WAM! will be led by Ralph Bell as head coach, and assisting him will be Caleigh Shaw, Heather Konkin and Laural-Leigh Holliday.

WAM! is a talented, youthful looking squad this season, with Lindsay Brown of Lacombe, Anjuman Grewal and Danielle Bechard, each of Zone 5, making their NRL debuts. Dailyn Bell and Jaime Bell will be representing Team Canada in the International World Ringette Championships in North Bay, Ontario in December 2013. Last year’s core of veterans returning include: Jill Basterash, Kaylin Bechard, Jenna Debaji, Dani Holliday, Robyn Kerr, Emily Otto, Jaime Bell, Dailyn Bell, and Chelsea Cranston. The team is also welcoming back Cara Duley after a season off. 2013 NRL champion Breanna Beck will backstop the club with the 2013 U19 CRC bronze medalist Anjuman Grewal. WAM! truly is a family affair these days, with 2 pairs of sisters, Dailyn and Jamie Bell, and Kaylin and Danielle Bechard.

If you are a home town fan, you can come and support WAM! at their home games this season which will begin in November at the Edmonton Wood Tournament. After missing out on the NRL Championship last season, WAM! is refocused on completing the work necessary to regain its reputation as a contender for hardware in April.
