Montreal Mission defeat Atlantic Attack in opening match at Canadian Ringette Championship

The Atlantic Attack suffered a 9-1 loss at the hands of the Montreal Mission at the Canadian Ringette
Championship on Monday morning. At the halfway mark of the game, the Attack were trailing 3-1.
Four unanswered goals in the third period, paved the way for a 9-1 victory by the Mission. The lone
Attack goal was scored by Joelle Proulx of Dieppe, NB and the Attack ended the match with 48 shots
on net. Montreal’s Julie Blanchette contributed with 6 assists for the Mission.

The Attack are attending the tournament as the host team for the national event being held in
Fredericton, NB and resume play on Tuesday at 9am vs. the Winnipeg Prairie Fire (Grant Harvey
Centre) and 7:45pm vs. the Cambridge Turbos (Grant Harvey Centre).
