NRL Wildfire begin second half

This coming weekend, Waterloo’s National Ringette League entry returns to action and will find out quickly if their early success is for real. The Wildfire are currently solidly in second place in the Southern Ontario Division with a 9 wins 5 losses record.

The Wildfire play two games against teams from the Capital Division — Sat at 7:30 pm vs Quebec City Cyclones at Moses Springer Arena and Sun at 10:20 am vs Gloucester Devils at the Hespeler Arena.

Only four of the Wildfire’s 14 games to date have been against teams from outside their division — four against the teams in the Montreal Division back in November when they went 3 and 1.

Saturday night’s game is Bunny Night where the youngest players in Waterloo — the three Bunny teams — will be guests of the Wildfire with one player from each team having the thrill of skating in the warmup with the two NRL teams. Parents of Bunny players wearing their Wildfire sweaters to the game will be admitted for half the usual $5 admission fee.
