The Atlantic Attack aim to continue stellar first season with Eastern Conference playoff victory

March 4, 2012 – Cocagne, New Brunswick – The Atlantic Attack of the National Ringette League will look to defeat the Richmond Hill Lightning in a three game elimination series this weekend in Ontario. The Attack finished 5th in the 13 team Eastern Conference of the National Ringette League with 32 points throughout their inaugural season. The playoff games will be played on Saturday March 10th at 10am and 5pm AST and if necessary, the deciding game will be played on Sunday March 11th at 12:45 AST.

During the regular season, the two teams met twice with the Lightning defeating the Attack 5-4 in the first match, and then 5-3. The Attack who certainly have a wealth of offensive firepower including rookie sensations Martine Caissie (61 pts), Joelle Proulx (47 pts) and Josée Doiron (47 pts) believe they are now familiar enough with their opponent to skate away with the upset.

The Atlantic Attack, if victorious, will secure a spot in the Canadian Ringette Championships this April in Burnaby, B.C. and compete for the National Ringette League championship title.
