The Atlantic Attack continue their surge in the NRL

On Saturday, the Atlantic Attack ranked 8th out of the 19 team National Ringette League faced 6th place Ottawa Ice in away game action. The Attack fell 3-1 and 5-2 to the more experienced team from the nation’s capital. Martine Caissie scored all three Attack goals and despite the losses, the team’s spirit and effort did not waver. Over the course of the two games, superstar goaltender, Jasmine Leblanc, stopped an impressive 85 out of 93 shots.

On Sunday morning, the Attack broke the hearts of the Gloucester Devils when Cap-Pelé’s Josée Doiron dramatically scored with only 3.7 seconds left in the game to post a 5-4 victory. Later in the day, the two teams met for a re-match and once again, the Attack posted one more goal on the scoreboard than their opponent to win 4-3. The Attack now have a 5-2-0 record in their debut season and will open their first series of home games at a tournament hosted by Fredericton’s ringette association on November 19th and 20th.
