The Atlantic Attack continue to climb in Eastern Conference standings

The Atlantic Attack carried their scoring momentum to Ontario to secure two wins and one loss in the season’s first road trip.

In Saturday game action the Attack met up against the Gloucester Devils, who defeated the Attack in last season’s playoffs. The Attack surged to a 10-4 victory. Jenny Snowdon and Martine Caissie were unstoppable with an impressive five goals apiece as the Attack peppered 51 shots on net. In evening game action, the Attack defeated the Ottawa Ice 8-6. Joelle Proulx chipped in five points and Nathalie Poirier made 40 saves for the win.

In Sunday game action, the Attack were defeated 7-3 by the Gatineau Fusion. Jenny Snowdon scored twice and Kirsti Mason added a goal in the loss.

Martine Caissie leads the NRL in scoring with 24 points in five games. The Attack return to regular season action on October 31-November 1st weekend when they host the Gatineau Fusion, the only team to hand them a loss so far this season, for a three game showdown in Dieppe, NB.
