The Atlantic Attack end 2014 strong; playoffs in sight.

Christmas came early for the Atlantic Attack of the National Ringette League as they completed a three game road swing this past weekend gaining crucial points in the Eastern Conference standings. The Attack first faced off against Le Royal de Bourassa in Saturday afternoon action and were handed a 9-7 loss. Jocelyn Landry of Memramcook finished the match with 3 points and goaltender Karine Doiron made 31 saves for the Attack.

On Saturday evening, the Attack downed the Lac St. Louis Adrenaline 7-6 in a shootout. Martine Caissie and Miguelle Proulx each scored in the shootout and Karine Doiron turned away two out of three Adrenaline shooter attempts to advance the Attack to the victory. The Attack completed their 2014 regular season action on Sunday versus the Rive Sud Revolution. The Attack offense, led by four goals from 18 year old Dominik LeBlanc, exploded for a 15-5 win.

After a one year hiatus from the NRL, Martine Caissie currently leads the Attack in point contribution in her return season with 43 points in 14 games played. This has Caissie on pace to surpass her career high total of 66 points from the 2012-2013 season.

The Attack will return to game action on January 17-18 with their goal set on securing a playoff position on home ice as they welcome Le Royal de Bourassa for a three game home stand in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Currently, Bourassa holds 2nd place in the White division, while the Attack sit at third.
