The Atlantic Attack (NRL) and Cambridge Turbos share shootout wins

The Atlantic Attack welcomed the defending NRL champions, the Cambridge Turbos, to Riverview and Cocagne for a two game home stand on Saturday. The two teams swapped exciting shootout wins and the top two NRL goal scorers Jacqueline Gaudet (Turbos) and Martine Caissie (Attack) went head to head as Caissie scored a total of 4 goals and Gaudet netted three. The Attack’s leading scorer (Caissie) now has 10 goals and 16 points in four games.

In game one action, the Attack fired 48 shots on net, but it was still not enough to seal a victory in regulation time. Jenny Snowdon scored the winning goal for the Attack in the 6th round of the shootout. Caissie posted a hat trick and added two assists in the 7-6 victory.

The Attack dropped the second game of the day with a 7-6 shootout loss. Nathalie Poirier made 45 saves and Miguelle Proulx secured a hat trick. Jenny Snowdon added four assists.

The Attack head into their upcoming set of home games with a 3-0-0-1 record. The team will welcome the Rive Sud Revolution (3-3-0-0) for three games on December 3-4 in Shediac.
