The Atlantic Attack scored 32 goals in three games to rout the visiting Rive Sud Revolution in Fredericton, NB to open NRL regular season play. In Saturday game action, Jenny Snowdon of Dieppe scored 3 goals and added two helpers to contribute toward a 9-2 Attack victory. Nineteen year old, Ashley Hollis, of Stratford PEI made her league debut and chipped in two assists on defence.
The second match of the day involved a game-deciding shootout with Miguelle Proulx and Jenny Snowdon scoring in dramatic fashion to lead the Attack to an 11-10 win. Karine Doiron turned away both shooters from the Rive Sud Revolution to secure the two points in the standings.
On Sunday, the two squads met for a final time and Joelle Proulx potted an impressive 7 points in a landslide 12-3 win.
Martine Caissie of Bouctouche recorded 9 goals and 4 assists (13 points) over the span of the three games played.
The Attack return to regular season action on Oct 17-18 when they go on the road to face the Gloucester Devils, Ottawa Ice, and Gatineau Fusion.
