The Attack collect crucial points in tight Eastern Conference

January 14 – On Saturday morning, the Atlantic Attack and the Rive Sud Revolution exchanged goals in an action packed game. With a little under eight minutes remaining in the match, the Attack’s Chantal King scored the go-ahead goal followed by an insurance marker moments later by Stephanie Robichaud to secure the victory. Cap-Pelé’s Josée Doiron had a four point outing. Later that evening, Marilyne Doucet buried a cross ice feed from Martine Caissie with 0.8 seconds remaining in the game to tie the game at 5 apiece and send the game to a shootout. Despite the outstanding effort by goaltender, Karine Doiron, Rive Sud’s five year veteran Audrey-Anne Plante scored the shootout winner.

On Sunday morning, the Atlantic Attack scored three quick goals in the beginning of the second period to secure their second win of the weekend with a score of 7-3. The Attack now hold a 12-10-0-1 record and pulled ahead to widen the gap in a tight Eastern Conference. The team currently sit at 5th place in the highly competitive 13 team conference, and aim to continue their strong play in order to make the playoffs.
