The Ottawa Ice stifle the Atlantic Attack in Beresford, N.B.

The Atlantic Attack were trounced by the 2nd place Ottawa Ice of the Eastern Conference in a two game series this weekend. The Ice scored 4 goals by the halfway mark of the first game on Saturday leading to a 10-2 stranglehold on the Attack. Thirteen different players for the Ice chipped in on the scoreboard for the win. In Saturday evening action, the Ice led the Attack by a score of 2-1 at the half. Three goals by Jayme Simzer in the 3rd and 4th period sealed a 5-2 victory for Ottawa.

The Attack return to the road for a three game series vs. the Lac St. Louis Adrenaline on January 26-27th. The Attack currently sit at 6th place in the Eastern Conference and the Adrenaline hold 9th place as they fight for a playoff spot.
