The Waterloo Wildfire are back in action this Saturday evening at 7:30 pm at Moses Springer Arena in Waterloo vs the Richmond Hill Lightning as play resumes in the Southern Ontario division in the NRL Eastern Conference after a week off for the World Club Championship in Sault Ste Marie.
The game will be a battle for second place in the division as both teams have 2 wins and 2 losses so far, the Wildfire having won the first meeting of the teams in Richmond Hill in October by a score of 8-4.
The Wildfire’s veteran, Lindsey Vivian, and rookie, Bryanna Kelly will be back in their true colours having joined the Richmond Hill squad for the the World Clubs last week. The Lightning also picked up Wildfire alternate, Ainslay Kerr, for the event as their numbers were weakened, since qualifying last spring, by retirements and student commitments. Kelly, a second year student at Laurier, was named the team MVP for Richmond Hill by the tournament committee.
